This Women's Self Defense program was developed with a emphasis on equanimity.
The curriculum is designed for beginner students and focuses on the most common defensive circumstances that women are confronted with as informed by statistics, law enforcement, and data from city reports. The curriculum also invites participants to examine inner challenges and provides a medium for growth.
The techniques acknowledge the realities of defending against a larger, stronger opponent. They draw from the proven effective Gracie Family system of Jiu-Jitsu and incorporate strategic striking while weaving in self-defense philosophy.
This program builds awareness without generating fear.
Through the development of effective and practical knowledge.
And by empowering women from a place of internal steadiness.
