In 2007, Kate Martinez competed in the 2007 IKF World Classic Championship in Orlando, Florida. This event is an International Tournament for amateur kickboxing featuring competitors from all around the world, and of all rule styles. Kate Martinez won the Women's International Rules Bantamweight Championship title after facing top kickboxing competitors. After the 2007 IKF World Classic tournament, Kate decided to turn her attention to competing in MMA.
