Is a self defense program dedicated to serving women in the city of Austin that are overcoming adversity. This includes (but is not limited to) women who have experienced domestic abuse, refugees, sex workers, and those who have experienced homelessness.
The instructional approach recognizes the experiences of participants and builds on their individual strengths.
Through learning self-defense in a safe and supportive space, participants have the opportunity to channel their inherent capability and resilience, and to strengthen their sense of agency.
Guided by principles of equity and care, this pro bono program ensures that self-defense training is accessible to those that want it.
